{March 5, 2008}   sad about love .

sad about love .

a) What were you trying to express and
how did you achieve this?

i was trying to bring out any sence of emotion with this picture . anything that might get you to think about what its about and how u could relate. i think i did a pretty good job in sence of using the fonts for each line and the effect they give . and the opocity gives it a kinda showdowey lonely look so yeah .

b) What filters did you use and where?

i used blur, gaussian blur ( yeah i think thier different ) , and noise to create my finishing image . most of it was on the larger rose becuase it had a very hard egdy look to it so i softened it up . i also used blur on the pedals cus they had that same effect

b) What layer blending mode did you use and where?

i tried pretty much all the layer blending modes available but i ended up using overlay for the pedals and desaturated some of them

c) What special brush did you use and where?

i used the paint brushes quiet alot with different hardness and sizes to colour in parts of my picture that gave it a kind of ‘copy/pasted from google’ look. i used the eyedropper too as a colouring for white linings

{January 30, 2008}   Lloka mag.. im famous

vogue

a) What qualities of your magazine cover make it effective? (eg. What makes it eye catching?, What about it promotes curiosity?, How is it visually pleasing?, What makes it easy to understand?)

the eye catching things about my mag is the BOLD writing and BIIIGGG soo people wanna read wat i wrote.. it was hard tryna keep the writing in areas with little detail so that the words dont completly vanish into like my bangles or something n u can hardly read wat im tryna write. i think what promotes my readers curiosity is not revealing to much information but just enough like ‘10 things he will love’. people will wonder like whos gonna love what n how they can make that person happy. the first person thier gonna think of is thier man n so thier gonna wanna know how 2 make em love ‘it’ lol its visually pleasing cus im on it.. duhh.. nahh i liedd its pleasing cus the colours r cordinated n very easy to read. easy to understand cus i think i already said this but the colours dont blend in with its surroundings so everything is easily accesable to the eyeball

b) What was the order of hierarchy you were trying to achieve for the elements on your magazine cover?

1. MEE =/

2. MY CLOTHES

3. THE FEATURED STORIES

..was it working ? =]
